Please feel free to reach out about any questions or concerns you might have.
How far in advance should I reserve a date for my move?
To schedule your preferred date, sooner rather than later. Some customers book 6 months in advance and others with much shorter notice. It's worth nothing that Fridays and Saturdays are busy, as are the 1st and last week of each month. If choosing dates in these time frames, you will want to try to schedule at least 2 weeks in advance
How much time does an in-home estimate usually require?
Most in-home estimates require between a 1/2 hour to an hour of your time.
How many men will I need for my move?
This will vary based on the needs of your move. We will align a crew of movers and trucks catered specifically to your moving needs.
Do I need to be there for the entire move?
Your movers will need someone to verify that everything that needs to be moved is loaded and unloaded so it's important that you or a representative on your behalf is present through the entire move
What can I do to keep moving costs down during my move?
Preparation, flexibility and communication are key in keeping down the cost of your move. De-cluttering, packing, and disassembling furniture in advance can cut down on the overall moving time, therefore, cutting down costs. Peak days, such as weekends, summer months and the beginning and end of the month, may have slightly higher rates.
I'm on a limited budget, and can only afford to hire professional movers for a portion of my move. What should I ask them to do?
Take inventory of your items so you know which items you will need the most help moving. Whether they are heavy items or may be harder to maneuver out of your space you'll want to start with the most difficult items first and work your way from there.
Do I tip a percentage or a flat rate?
Once you've decided that you want to tip your movers the simplest way is offering a flat rate based on the details of your move. An industry standard is around $20 to $50 per mover based on the difficulty and complexity of the job. Keep in mind that this is not a set in stone rate. You can choose to alter the tipping rates in whatever way suits your preference and budget.
